Are you volunteer for a Dog’ Rescue? Do you work at a Dog’ Rescue? Are you starting your path in the Dog Training World? Would you like to learn more about the type of work done with Rescued Dogs to raise their chances of being adopted?

If so, I believe that you will find this course helpful.

“Working Successfully with Rescued Dogs – The Blueprint, Part 1” is a course created for people who would like to learn about dog behaviour and training, but more specifically, how this applies to rescued dogs.
This course will cover some foundation topics that everybody who works with dogs must have, and will also initiate topics with vital information for everybody who interacts with rescued dogs.
As mentioned above, this is the first part of the course where we will cover “the basics” which in reality will already give you a good amount of knowledge to apply with rescued dogs.
Although, once you finish this first part, you will have the chance to continue to the second part where we will give continuation to some topics discussed in this first part and initiate new ones as well.

In this first part of the course, we will discuss the topics below:

  • How Environment affects Dogs’ Behaviour – In this first module, we will analyse the importance of experiences in dog’s lives and how such experiences shape their behaviour.
  • What is Stress; How to recognize it in Dogs; And how to reduce it – In this module, we will analyse a very important topic to be understood by everybody who interacts with rescued dogs as the majority of them are under stress.
  • The power of Trust – In this module, we will analyse Trust as a critical part of our relationship and work with rescued dogs.
  • Dogs’ Needs and their Well-being – In this module, we will analyse the correlation between dogs’ needs and their well-being learn what can be done to improve the life of a rescued’ dog .
  • How Dogs Learn – In this module, we will analyse the basics of learning in dogs and how it is applied in training.
  • Dog Training Equipment: In this module, we will analyse training equipment that can be used when handling and training dogs and what should not be used.
  • The Basics of Dog’ Body Language – In this module, we will analyse the messages behind body postures and actions in dogs.
  • How to Approach Rescued Dogs Successfully – In this module, we will analyse the process of approaching rescued dogs to get the best of them.
  • Clicker Training – In this module, we will analyse the basics of clicker training and how to use this training method with rescued dogs.
  • How to Train Rescued Dogs: Practical Exercises – In this last module of the first part of the course, we will discuss different training exercises to implement with rescued dogs.

These are the main topics that will be covered in detail throughout the course and there will be some “homework” thorught the course as well to help you understand and put them in practice.

All the students will have access to modules but only Premium students are able to get my full support throughout the course, including Q&A and my feedback on “homework” provided.
