Founder of Animal Academie, Lisa Longo is a animal behavior consultant in France.
She started learning about behavior sciences by attending numerous conferences which enabled her to take part in some of the main learning opportunities in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with animals.
She graduated "LLA" (leaving & learning with animals) and "LLP" (living & learning with parrots) from Doctor and Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of Utah, Susan G. Friedman.
Wishing to perfect her training techniques, she followed intensive seminars and workshops "Contemporary Animal Training and Management" at the Natural Encouters center, alongside Steve Martin, in Florida.
Lisa is also the first CPBT-KA (certified professional bird trainer-knowledge assessed) in France. This title is obtained when passing an exam which tests the main skills and knowledge necessary for the education, training and management of birds (applied behavior analysis, applied training, health, enrichment and management, etc.).
Her particular passion for parrots led her to publish a book called "The Pet Parrot Guide" (Guide du Perroquet de Compagnie) which covers a wide range of information for novices and experienced owners alike.
Lisa's passion has always been to help domestic and captive animals and their human companions live in harmony. In this role, she goes to owners homes to help them establish a new communication with their pets.
To help a wide range of pet owners, Lisa is also an instructor for Tromplo.
Her thirst for knowledge and her desire to always offer the best advice and services to her clients and students drive her to learn continuously by attending conferences and online courses.
Lisa currently shares her home with a Czechoslovakian wolfdog, a red-lored Amazon parrot, a blue and gold macaw and a Gottingen pig (and a husband!).
